How to use

Purpose

Remove unwanted pages from a PDF — single pages, contiguous ranges, or scattered selections. The tool rebuilds rather than physically deletes: output preserves fonts, images, text layers and bookmark anchors (with deleted pages skipped). Runs locally in your browser via pdf-lib; no upload, no watermark, no limits, free.

Steps

FAQ

Will my original file be modified?: No. The tool generates a new PDF; your source stays untouched on your drive. All operations are browser-local with no server contact.
Will page numbers renumber?: Internal page indexes do shift (the old page 5 might become the new page 3), but printed page numbers in the footer (e.g., "Page 5") don't auto-update — that's a PDF format quirk. Use the Page Number tool to strip old numbers and re-add fresh ones.
Can I delete dozens of pages at once?: Yes. Multi-select via clicks or type ranges (e.g., 10-50,80-100). There's no upper limit; deleting hundreds of pages stays smooth on a modern browser.
Will bookmarks break?: Bookmarks pointing to deleted pages are skipped; remaining bookmarks get their page references auto-updated. No more "clicking a bookmark jumps to the wrong page".
Is the reverse — keep some, delete the rest — supported?: Use the Extract Pages tool instead. It works as inverse selection: pick the pages to keep, the others are dropped.

Tip

If you want to keep just a few pages, use Extract Pages instead — picking what to keep is faster than excluding the rest. Before destructive deletes, run Split first as a quick backup.
